Prior to setting up Reach Far Performance Improvement I operated as a global learning partner within a major international pharmaceutical company, leading the adoption and development of a structured performance improvement process used by internal learning partners to consistently identify, prioritise and deliver cost effective learning solutions in line with business priorities.
Over 30 years in People Management, 20 of those years in Learning & Development, I have experience across several industries and sectors having worked within Offshore Oil & Gas, Construction, Civil Engineering, Education, the Prison Service and Pharmaceutical Development.
A consistent source of satisfaction for me , throughout, is being able to provide impactful coaching support to individuals and to teams often during periods of significant change.
Recognised for developing and implementing occupational standards and competence frameworks I am passionate about making learning part of everyday life and helping others to become dynamic learners.
Professionally I am a Chartered Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the Learning and Performance Institute. In addition to a Degree in Social Sciences I also hold a Diploma in Performance Coaching, a Certificate in Life Coaching and a Diploma in Sports Psychology.
For ten years I was the Chair of Governors for a primary school and a member of the Independent Monitoring Board for a Category C prison. I have recently joined the management committee of a North West Counties Football League club.
A former National League volleyball player and a licenced coach of women’s volleyball for more than twenty years I now enjoy trekking, playing golf, watching football and rugby league and walking the dogs with my wife and four children.
